Here's my story:
I'm a fresh graduate and while still waiting for my papers from my university, I thought of searching for jobs online. I wanted to be a Virtual Assistant but it could take months for me to find clients and start earning.
One morning, I was browsing through my Facebook feed and I saw this advertisement for the company named, Acadsoc. See picture below:
I searched about the company on google and read the reviews from Glass door. The company has a lot of good reviews most especially when it comes to salary. I checked the website and there I saw the complete requirements. See picture below:
You can visit acadsoc.ph for more.
at the bottom, I saw the APPLY BUTTON and I clicked it without thinking twice. Then I filled up the form, attached my resume and an audio sample.
Just a day after I applied online, I received a message on my mobile phone asking for a time that I'm available for an interview. I send them my preferred time and called me on the phone for confirmation.
Here comes the day of my interview, I made sure to be online 30 minutes before it. The interviewer added me on Skype. The interview didn't take so long, it was only 5-10 minutes. The questions were situational and it is easy. Here are the questions asked:
- Introduce yourself.
- Do you have any ESL experience?
- If the student is not behaving well and does not focus on the lesson, what should you do?
- What are the reasons, why we should hire you?
After the questions, the interviewer gave me feedback about my accent and grammar. By the way, during the interview, it is important that you follow their requirements.
- Wired Internet connection - you will send this to your interviewer before the time you set
- Noise canceling headset (I had a problem with my headset that's why my interviewer let me use apple wired headset temporarily)
- Free from the noise background
- White or a plain background
A few minutes after the interview, my interviewer told me I passed and she endorsed me for training.
